Culinary Herbalism Mentorship 2026

A Journey With the Healing, Magical Plants All Around Us

with Tara Lanich-LaBrie, in-person

*This course is for all levels-you do not need to be an herbalist or cook*

Located at our organic, No-till, Vegetable, Flower & Herb Farm in Boulder, Colorado

Join me on the Farm and around the table for a 6-month journey through the seasons as we learn about healing, magical plants and how to create with them, listen to them, and learn from them through a variety of experiential, heart-centered practices.

Build your home & kitchen apothecary each month with hands-on experience:  harvesting and creating with plants like rose, tulsi, elderflower and elderberry, nettles, yarrow, wild oregano, and so many more.

We will gather beginning in May and conclude our time together in October.

We will learn from the plants growing around us over delicious, food-as-medicine herbal recipes, like Nettle and Lovage Soup, Dandelion Root Drinking Chocolate, or Elderflower Sorbet.

We will meet and visit with the plants, learning to listen, connect, honor, and breathe with them.

We will create our apothecary medicines and culinary pantry treats together like Dandelion Root Bitters, Lilac Flower Essence, or Rose Glycerite.

Classes will meet once a month for 6 Months on these dates:

May 17th, 2026,  10:30am-12:30pm

Who is this mentorship for?

This is for anyone interested in plants, food, and/or incorporating more herbal medicine into your life, or sharing with your family or community.

You do not need any experience with herbalism, but this would be a great course for herbalists. All you need is curiosity and a desire to connect more to the natural world.

What will you gain in this mentorship?

1. You will learn to connect to the plants in a deeper way through a variety of heart-centered practices.

2. You will learn the best time to harvest certain plants from elderflowers to elderberries, nettle leaf to nettle seeds and roots, rose petals to rose hips, and so much more.

3. You will learn the essentials of Culinary Herbalism : how to create beautiful and delicious food with medicinal herbs, preserving and preparing the harvest, and ways to easily include the plants in your daily meals. Culinary Herbalism is food-as-medicine as an integrated practice.

4. You will learn to create your own culinary herbal apothecary of healing elixirs, syrups, flower essences, medicinal broths, alcohol and vinegar extracts, herbal bitters and digestives, and herbal pantry items to enhance and inspire your daily meals.

5. You will be in Community with likeminded people, as curious as you are about the beauty and medicine of connecting deeply with supportive plants around us.

6. All plants, take-home materials, and delicious treats will be included! All recipes that we make and share will be gluten-free, dairy-free and refined sugar-free.

7. You will receive the location and any additional specifics at the beginning of March.
